Table of contents
The Federal Public Service Policy and Support (FPS BOSA) undertakes to make this website accessible, in accordance with the law of 19 July 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
This accessibility statement applies to the following website: https://bosa.belgium.be.
Level of compliance
This website partially complies with the accessibility requirements of the European standard EN301549.
A number of non-conformities were identified during the in-depth audit carried out on 1 September 2025. They are described in the “Content not accessible” section.
Preparing the accessibility declaration
An in-depth accessibility audit was carried out by the FPS BOSA accessibility department, the control body designated by the Royal Decree of 5 September 2019.
The full technical report can be consulted on the dedicated page of the Belgian Web Accessibility website: consult the 2025 in-depth audit report.
This declaration has been prepared on the basis of the findings of this audit. It was drawn up on 29 June 2022. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
Content not accessible
The in-depth audit identified several types of non-compliance. The main ones are:
- Missing text equivalents: several decorative or informative images do not have a text alternative or are not correctly marked as decorative. Some of the icons used as links have no visible text.
- Information and relationship problems: HTML lists containing non-compliant elements, incomplete or incorrectly structured ARIA roles (tables, headers, cells).
- Links and buttons without a clear label: some links (share icons, raw URLs, action buttons) have no accessible label or an empty ARIA label.
- Keyboard navigation and focus management: several components cannot be reached using the keyboard or in a consistent order. The focus is not always visible or can get ‘trapped’ in certain modules (burger menu, virtual tables, dashboards).
- Text resizing and redistribution: some components do not adjust correctly when zoomed between 150% and 250%.
- Iframes without a title attribute: several embedded dashboards have no title attribute or accessible alternative.
- Language of a passage not defined: some multilingual content does not indicate the correct language.
Proposed alternatives
For some elements that are not accessible, there is, as yet, no alternative.
If you have any accessibility problems, please let us know.
Improvement plan
Based on the in-depth audit, a number of development requests have been made to improve the site’s accessibility. The corrections will be phased in over the course of 2026.
The planned improvements include:
- improved accessibility of the navigation menu, even when zoomed in or on a mobile phone
- the addition of accessible labels for links and icons where there is no perceptible text
- more consistent keyboard navigation and easier access to filters: for training, news, and search pages
These actions are designed to ensure smoother navigation, better understanding of interactive elements, and greater compliance with accessibility standards.
