Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies

The FPS BOSA is a driving force behind the digital evolution and reforms of the federal government. In the field of innovation and new digital technologies, we closely monitor trends and opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies through an observatory and a center of expertise. We also lead the national coalitions AI4Belgium and Blockchain4Belgium, which aim to connect Belgian stakeholders on these topics and strengthen Belgium’s visibility on the international stage.

        We facilitate collaborations among stakeholders within the AI4Belgium coalition (artificial intelligence), including actors from the three regions (Flanders, Wallonia, and Brussels), as well as the Blockchain4Belgium initiative (Web3 and distributed ledger technologies). We actively promote their expertise on the international stage.

        We coordinate the steering committee responsible for supporting the implementation of the national convergence plan for artificial intelligence development.
