In concrete terms, DG Simplification and Digitalisation:
- develops the government's digital strategy and standards
- implements and monitors the digital transformation of the federal administration
- develops cross-cutting digital platforms and services in collaboration with federal organisations
- proposes measures to reduce administrative complexity and burdens for businesses, citizens, associations and public administrations
- calculates the costs arising from regulations and administrative formalities
- promotes, proposes and coordinates administrative simplification initiatives within the federal administration and other organisations
